I believe so, but the ones I have seen were a MASH unit, I think.

No, but I wish someone would. It's an under-appreciated war. 53,000 Americans servicemen died in those three years.

There are a few small groups getting started in the mid-Atlantic states.  Some guys in NC doing Chinese.  I'm starting up 1953 Army infantry impression with some guys I do WW1 with.  None of it is organized to any degree yet.  But the impressions are starting to form.

I really want to start my own little group that portrays a USMC radio squad, a regular USMC squad, or an Army squad. The only friends I could start it with would be the one's in my civil war group because the rest of them are my age (12 years old), and less mature. Does anybody know what vendors have Korean War supplies?

I hope you start a group. I think it would be great! I'd want to see a nice Korean War display. Attend all the militaria and air shows to promote your group and you'll see recruits coming in. Good luck! Do you have a web site up yet?

Thank you for your answer! No, unfortunately, I don't have a website up yet. I will try to get something up somehow. One of my only problems is I am 12 years old and I'm afraid no one would take me seriously. Of course, I would portray a soldier who lied about his age.

Look online and go to the library and research as much as you can. Also, look on line for official Korean verteran's associations, ask to hear their stories and ask questions. Try to have your parents help you where you can. Buy your impression bit by bit (I don't know if you have a job or not) and look for the exact items. With the research that you'll do, you'll know what is correct. Just because you're 12, doesn't mean that no one will take you seriously. If you take the time to research and do things correctly with your display and your impression, people will take you very seriously. I wish you all the luck with your project and I have no doubts that you can pull it off! Smiley

I definitely will! I'll try to get a site up soon. Does anybody know where there are some Korean War uniform vendors? And does anyone know a good free site-maker?

I am in Northern NJ but would love to get involved in a Army Korean living history unit.  I have most of the equipment (lifelong collector) all I would need to purchase are a set of HBT's, a pair of double buckle boots, and some blanks.

Any help you need, feel free to let me know.

I don't want to steal from reenactor.net's thunder, but My friend and I have a small Korean War reenactors forum. ( http://theforgottenwar.proboards61.com/index.cgi ). Lots of good pics, I've posted a lot of stuff about Chinese in the hope that someone out there is reading it!
