    What is the proper number of M1 carbine ammo pouches for a Marine impression?
    I've herd either 2 or 3?Huh?
    1 on the stock and the other(s) on the web belt....

    I do a US Ranger impression, and I use 2 on the stock, and 2 on the web gear. I'm not sure about Marines though, we only do the European theater in my area. I would maybe check out Marine field handbooks from WW2 and see what the standard issue kit was.
