    hello ,

    i am not a rev. war re-enactor , but i am helping with a rev. war event and was asked to dress in period . we are portraying a rev. war town , and would like to know what a women would wear . pictures would be best so i could "copy " the style to make my outfit or if you know of a pattern plaese let me know.

    This is probably too little, too late for your event, but if you do a google search for Revolutionary War clothes you will find websites of people who sell the clothing you're looking for.  We sell basic "colonial" clothes (pre-made) or you can have all that you might need custom made.   Some basic items you would need: chemise (undergarment - like a nightgown), petticoat, short gown/sleeved jacket, some type of cap and hat for your head.

    thank you , but yes it was . I did end up finding a pattern the i liked and had it made for me . thanks again
