What can I say?  This event is unlike any other... This year's advertisement slogan was "modeled" by Gunner Beach You are not allowed to view images.
Please register or login. It truly is a mega "family" get together.  I have not laughed so hard in a long time...and that's saying a lot after getting up every day before the sun and going to bed every night around 3 or later.

This event is growing bigger and bigger each year.  This year the Crewe of the Archangel participated in the National Walk the Plank Championship... Maddogge, our captain of marines, won a second time and beat the fella the Discovery Channel entered.  Maddogge also took home the gold medal for the first time Pirate Olympics..which had such events as Wench Carrying, Shot Rolling, Ale Drinking, etc...

While Maddogge regaled the ladies, I mean crowds with his feats of strength, other members of the crewe participated in Living History demos such as Navigation, Crime and Punishment and Funeral Customs on Land and Sea

And of course there were battles every day as the pirates tried to take the fort along with the assistance of the Wolf.

But unlike Jack Sparrow who claims take what ye can and give nothing back, this year the pirates and pyrate hunters were actively involved in charity work...

They contributed to Make a Wish Foundation, Locks of Love, Friends of the Fort and a number of other charities...

And at the end of the event we managed to squeeze in a hanging and a birth, the captain's mistress went into labor when Maddogge mutinied, with the help of the Bone Island Buccaneers, and hanged the captain...
