News: We are happy to announce that we have our new "link mod" working—our programmer out-did himself on making it!! The program allows YOU to add your link yourself, unlike the old "add-me form" we had. Please, go here and add your unit's link, if we don't have it. For that matter, you can update links too. We still have many of the old links up, as it is a process to do a lot of them. However, we will be working to update links as fast as possible-- soon, ALL the unit links and historical links will be done this way!!

Hubby and I just got our room reservations for the Chicago Reenactorfest, I've been off this sight for awhile, so I thought I would check out who what when where as to what's up with Reenactorfest next month.  Where's the info?  List of sutlers/merchants?  Who's speaking...Are there any speakers?  What periods are being covered in the programs or is this going to be another gun/living history show?  Is there a separate website I don't know about?  There seemed to be buzz over this event in the years past that seem to be missing this year.  Is it the economy taking effect or am I missing all the hot spots?  Hubby and I have been looking forward to this since last year, but with so little info. about it this year, I'm getting a little hesitant to travel 3-4 hours, just to be disappointed.  Any information would be helpful and encouraging Smiley

Thanks for the replies, guys.  I feel much better about the whole thing now.  The next step will be for the weather to cooperate...
One more question.  I think Terry and I will be arriving on Thurs. afternoon/evening.  We aren't setting up as sutlers, just visiting.  The notice of a "happy hour" on Thurs. evening at 7 p.m. intrigues us.  The notice says you need a RF5 wristband...are these being sold on Thurs.?  I thought the entrance fee was for Fri. Sat. and Sun.  Will the weekend pass be available Thurs. so we can enjoy the merriment also?  If not, it's no biggie...we thought we were going early so we could enjoy some "hotel time" Wink
Looking forward to seeing everyone laugh

Flamingos!

RF staff will be at their post starting on Thursday to sell wristbands to early arrivals. You'll need one to get into the party, and directons to the suite will be given to you upon the purchase of your event tickets. Can't have any knuckle dragging NON-reenactors turn up ya know!  Wink

The hotel bookings have FAR exceeded any prior year, advanced ticket sales too... and the dealer hall sold out before Halloween and we have a waiting list as long as your arm. Reenactor Fest has been great every prior year but THIS year looks like it will be the breakout year. We'll find out in 19 days...  Cool

Safe travels everyone!!
