    Landsknect- Todestanz **UPDATED**

    (At-a-Glance Event Information)

    Friday, June 19th, 2009 to Sunday, June 21st, 2009

Hosted by Shire of Eisental - Lehighton, PA

Event Last Modified: May 3rd, 2009

Is there no peace? The Landsknecht have returned!  The Shire of Eisental and Kurriere Des Todes once again invite one and all to join us for a weekend of irreverent fun and mayhem at the Ukrainian Homestead.  This gathering of Landsknechts will include a 3-Man Great-Weapons-only Tournament which emphasizes weapons of the period, a Double-Elimination tourney (weapons of choice), and a Bearpit.  If you've seen it in years past, you already know it's a lot of fun.  The event will also host Youth Combat and Thrown Weapons.  All martial fields will open at 10:00am and the heavy weapons tournaments will begin at 12:00pm.

The gentle arts are not forgotten, all are invited to participate in our A&S Display and a variety of classes are currently being finalized.

The site is pet friendly and pets must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.  Pets are not allowed in the buildings.

Merchants are welcome, and while there is no fee, please preregister with our Merchant Coordinator, Lady Elspeth, to secure your space.

And did we mention the food? Tanzos Illona will grace our kitchens and serve a most wondrous feast, space is limited so reserve early!  As is traditional in Eisental a simple dayboard will be served on Saturday, and a hearty, hot breakfast will be served on Sunday morning.

    Directions:

    From PA Turnpike, NE Extension:

Take exit 74 (Mahoning Valley) to Rt.  209 South, towards Jim Thorpe.

(The sign is on the left side of the road).  Follow this road (Beaver Dr.) for 1.7 miles, Ukrainian Homestead will be on your Left.

    From I-81:
