We are Doyle & Terri Johnson of Two Eagles Kitchen

    WWW Awards

I have been looking for a forum to exchange ideas and research, as well as find out about new Events and this site is PERFECT Grin!
We are Doyle & Terri of Two Eagles Kitchen, a full service Kitchen Under Canvas that has been cooking for Events for more than a decade. We specialize in hospitality and teaching the public about the role that camp kitchens played at Rendezvous and other gatherings of early explorers and trappers.
We mostly focus on Events portraying 1600's through 1840's Fur Trade Era but have cooked for Pow Wows, Civil War, Medieval, and City Historic Celebrations.
Doyle is a World Class Black Powder Rifle Shooter and Hawk Thrower
Terri is a Native American Historian and recreates pre contact Native American Clothing for educational purposes.
We travel the country Full Time in a 40' Toy Hauler Fifth Wheel and enjoy the freedom of the open road.
We are now in Florida, but we currently are heading to the Midwest where we have a full calendar for the Spring, Summer and Fall, (an Event almost every weekend!). We spend our Winters is Florida, taking it easy and attending a few Events also, but mostly we recoop  and get some sewing, and research done for our hectic season to follow.
We look forward to getting to know other reenactors and perhaps meeting up someday down the road.
We have a site that has our full calendar on it and I will be posting our Events on the calendar here so if you want to attend some of our Events, all the information you need will be posted.
This forum is a great idea and I look forward to taking part in it. Smiley

Welcome aboard Doyle & Terri. Perhaps we'll see you folks somewhere during the upcoming 150th anniversary events of the US Civil War ... or perhaps during the 200th anniversary events of the US War of 1812. This should be a busy next 3 or 4 years for a lot of us. If you ever get in the Chesapeake area of Maryland drop a line.

    Cheers, johnnie, 93rd Highlanders 1812-1858.
