Hail the Hall!
Just a note to say hello. I am a Viking re-enactor that travels the Mid-west region of the United States with my longboat Yrsa. I have a webpage with a further explanation and pics for those interested here:
www.vikingsamonline.com
I associate with several viking/dark ages re-enactment groups across the U.S. Not because they like me or because of my personality, they just like the Yrsa! LOL
We are continuing construction on Norstead, a Viking Farmstead based on Hedeby in 1050, here on my land in Northeast Missouri. Further information for the interested can be found here:
www.norstead.org
. A fantastic news piece was done on our grand opening event and is on Youtube here:
I hope to meet new people and learn new things here on this forum.
Sam

SturmKatze;
Thanks for the welcome! I'm only new to this forum. I have been involved in living history for years, 25!
I have three time periods that I do. Span-Am, the Great War and World War II. One of my new interests is
WW2 airsoft. In Span-Am I do the U.S. 9th INF, a group of us out of Indiana. For WWI I do 49th Co. 5th Marines.
And WWII I'm with the U.S. 70th Tank Battalion, Yes I drive a tank! an M5A1 Stuart, but most of the time
I'm at the wheel of a Dodge weapons carrier. I live in the Chicago area down by Joliet.
My question is anyone out there into the WW2 airsoft thing and can anyone help me repair my Thompson,
I need parts. It's the M1A1. I have another one but it's the M1928A1.
I hope that I can be an important part of this forum, 25 years of reenacting I think I may have alittle knowledge.
As they say in the armour ranks KEEP RIDING.

Just wanted to say hello.
Mostly interested in WWI American Forces. Thought about wearing my Grandfathers uniform in reenactments, but he was 5' 6" and I am 6' 1". He was AEF 7th Division 55th HQ. Co. and was wounded while relieving the 26th Division at the front. That was about the 5th of November, 1918 and spent the next 6 months in hospitals before coming home.

So, I'm a historical costuming geek. While not (yet) a reenactor, I attended ReenactorFest 1, 2, and 3 as a squire for Autumn Tree Armored Combat Company. And you folks are starting to rub off on me. So, I figured I'd join the forums and do a little lurking.
And if any of y'all are from Massaschusetts and do Landskenct, Tudor, or medival re-enacting, I'd love to get to know you!

Servus,
Humbly report, Larry Dunn here from Los Angeles, California, dipping my toe into living history for the first time. My area of interest is World War I, and I'm attempting to put together an Austro-Hungarian impression--any hints and tips will be most welcome.
Thanks and kind regards,
Larry

Hi, I would say that subscribing to
Smoke & Fire News
would be the first big step! They have listings for events (including a lot of rendezvous) all over the U.S. Click the banner below to go to their website!

Well, I'd post this in the Rev War F&I area. Also, although reenactor.Net's Colonial area needs some updating,
there are some good links there.
