reenactor.Net, THE Online, Worldwide Home of Living History Forums
News: We are happy to announce that we have our new "link mod" working—our programmer out-did himself on making it!! The program allows YOU to add your link yourself, unlike the old "add-me form" we had. Please, go to http://www.reenactor.net/forums/index.php/page,167.html and add your unit's link, if we don't have it. For that matter, you can update links too. We still have many of the old links up, as it is a process to do a lot of them. However, we will be working to update links as fast as possible-- soon, ALL the unit links and historical links will be done this way!!

    Hi everybody.
This is the first forum I've ever joined.  Looks like great potential for getting advice and exchanging ideas.
Been in this reenactor stuff since '95 and it's been a blast!
I've done SCA, WH, and Roman. And dabbled in CW and Rev War. Maybe I'm spread a little thin but I can't think of anything more fun...that can be done in public.
Last event I went to was Reenactor Fest (as a Roman).  It felt like I had stumbled on a crosstime saloon!
Since I've never been to a timeline type of event before, this was a real thrill.
Anyway, I want to get to lookin around so thats all for now.

    Cheers,
    Kreuzer

    Howdy Y'all
    Name's Jefferson.
I have been involved in medieval reenacting for about 15 years and am looking into other eras.
I think it would be interesting to produce a series of impressions faithful to a single regiment,For instance a highlander of the 93rd reg't from founding in 1800 to the Korean conflict ca. 1953. I really think think this would allow a personal view of the evolution of warfare.
    Any thoughts?

    Hello-

I am a member, Vice Chair,  of the Badger State Chapter (Wisconsin) of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. I also edit the Chapter's newsletter, Badger Airborne News. I was a Paratrooper with the 501st Airborne Battle Group, 82nd Abn Div from 1960-63.

Our Chapter is possibly organizing Airborne Days in Wisconsin next July. We are interested in bringing in some Airborne reenactor groups for this proposed event.

Can you direct me to those groups?

    Hi @ all!
I'm Magali (everyone knows me as Hoppit), PR of the recently formed flemish reenactmentgroup Milites Templi. We do the Templar period, but we're still young and working to get all the stuff. We're looking to go abroad a bit more, Belgium doesn't have a lot fairs of our period. If you have suggestions for multi period events (or better, our period Smiley ), please do let me know! The webpage looks great, so you'll see me popping around here from time to time Wink.
Oh, yes I do know I suck in English grammar Banging head on wall, I study French and Spanish literature, so you can blame it on that Smiley.

    Cheers,
    Magali v. Hoppit
