News: We are happy to announce that we have our new "link mod" working—our programmer out-did himself on making it!! The program allows YOU to add your link yourself, unlike the old "add-me form" we had. Please, go here and add your unit's link, if we don't have it. For that matter, you can update links too. We still have many of the old links up, as it is a process to do a lot of them. However, we will be working to update links as fast as possible-- soon, ALL the unit links and historical links will be done this way!!

Hello all!

Adam (Thor) here, from the great state of Minnesota.  I have been involved with WW2 reenacting for about 5 years now.  Spent some time with the 12.SS (CHG) out in Cali while I was in the Marines, and am currently a member of the 12.Komp/SS-Deutschland.  Got started with them when I lived on the east coast after I got out of the Corps.  Moved back to my home state of Minnesota last year, but still participate in east coast events as money and time allows.

I am also looking to branch off into WW1 reenacting, and am just starting the process of piecing together my kit.

Looking forward to many interesting conversations here!

Well, I never thought I'd be a reenactor, but here I am.  Ethan here, I'm with the 5th Gebirsjager out of TEXAS and I was in my first event in Waxahachie for their Veterans Appreciation Day.  I know it's true when they say once you try this, you're hooked.  Our Kubel flooded right before the battle and me and another new guy had to haul @$$ across a bridge.  It was GREAT!  Shooting the gun, hearing the MGs barking, the ground shake as the 20mm thumped.  I'm going to be doing this for a very long time.

Moving a little away from Bayern, I am Karl and I am a recovering reenactor.  Some of my bad habits include 1400 +/- for SCA tournaments, Landsknecht for SCA wars, Company of Over (the) Mountain Men (Rev. War before moving), Hardin's Rangers (F&I), and SASS/CAS.

My compliments on the site layout and I am looking forward to finding more resources for reenacting projects.

Hello!  I'm VERY new to living history but have absolutely fallen in love with it!  Currently, what I'm doing is American colonial circa 1670-1680.  I'm already looking forward to starting my own costume and even making costumes for my children so they can participate as well. I'm really looking forward to training on muskets and cannons in a couple of months as well!  Grin
