    Hi Philonivs!

Thank you for the compliment!  Yes, I had to bring the 1880s dress for my friend, Lara to 'inspect' and as for the  late 1930s glam-thing was an after thought.  I made the dress the weekend before (took only one day).

It was worth bringing them all!  Lots of oooo...awww.. factors involved that weekend from everyone I saw...not just with my stuff!

Do you happen to have vintage 30's/40's patterns for your dresses? I've seen some online for sale, but not much in the way of men's stuff.  sad

Looking forward to meeting you at the Fest if you'll be there.... I'm going as Soviet (95th Rifles) and period civilian part of the time. We'll have to talk threads!  Cool

Yes indeed!  I had the pattern for some time, but never had a reason to make it until now...

As for men stuff...Hmm...I know of a woman in NYC who collects vintage patterns, but I am not sure if she would have anything in men's attire.  I'll check if you'd like.

Another Soviet?!  Well, at least you let your women fight along side you in the trenches!

I would be MOST grateful. I need to look around some more myself, but if she has period mens' patterns that she'd be willing to unload, that would save me from modifying modern patterns. I think that's worth a couple martinis at the hotel bar at the Fest, wouldn't ya say? Wink

Of course, the ladies can always share a foxhole with me. That's how I roll  Cool

I left word with her...but she's on her way to the Far East over the Christmas Holiday.  I hope that she'll respond before she leaves.
