Nope and it wouldn't matter -- they're not open to the public... sorry. Ya gotta wanna do WWI.

Thanks for the reply. From what I see in Pics they look like fun. A few more years and I might join.

Ahhhh! Well, a suggestion is to start looking NOW. Buy stuff NOW while you aren't under any pressure to get out there. I don't know which side you wish to do, but it cannot hurt to look over at:

If you are gonna do German, I can give you some advice.
As far as units go, no matter what, by all means, look around and check out the units. Some are quite "intense" some are laid-back. Read all their stuff. Go w/ your instincts--if a unit sounds to be un-fun or somethign you don't like... just say "thanks" and keep looking. If it ai't fun, why do it? Don't let ANYONE make you feel bad, small or like you're not wanted. There's way too much politics in reenacting, so just tak eyour time, don't get in a hurry and use this time to build up a first-class kit!

Thanks for the advice. I saw that website today(on this forum!). I do plan to do German. There are virtually no German units up here. There is one in Mass. but they have no website. The other closet one I know of is in New York! I know about the Great war association and have been looking in to units there.

Well, most units aren't like in other time periods... for the most part, they have members from all over and get together at events. WWI or "Great War," as many call it, is a tad bit different, as you've found out. Just read website info and look into units. If you want, go check out ours
Infanterie-Regiment 23
.
Just remember what I said about getting in a hurry and units that pressure you. Some groups think it's important to have numbers at any cost, including stealing them from other groups and/or bad mouthing others. Remeember

Thanks for the site. You guys look great! What I learned from Civil war reenacting is that there are many uniforms and looking through the other site's German uniforms there alot to choose from also.
