I guess I haven't done this in a while.....  sad

I am now heading up 7.Kompanie, Fallschirmjaeger Regiment 6 (7./FJR.6) out of the US Midwest/Lakes region. We mainly portray the Regiment as they were in Normandy 1944, but also do tropical and winter events. We are in close partnership with our other "battalion mates" in 5./FJR.6 (Don Calder, CO) and 6./FJR.6 (Mike Schnieders, CO).

5th Gebirsjager.  I'm getting my stuff together and the two guys I know, as well as some others(I apologize if I forgot your names), have been more than accomodating.  I did my very first event in Waxahachie, TX.  and it was great!  Most games you sit around the table scarfing potato chips and sugary sodas, here you actually get some exercise.  And getting to play a soldier like a big kid is always a plus. Well, appearently I have managed to miss this thread over the years.    Huh?
I started doing WW 2 in Mar 1981 at the HRS Spring Battle in Weldon Springs, Mo.  By May I had a recognized Fallschirmjäger unit - FJR1/1FJD.  We've never looked back.  We are the oldest continuously active Fj unit in the US.
In 1987 we became one of the 3 founding units in "The WW2 Living History Rgt" based in Colorado.
Guess that means I've been an active WW 2 reenactor for 29 years.

Hey guys I've been re-enacting for 4-5 years now.  I'm in a Gebirgsjager unit called Hoch 4.  It's a high mountain battalion that was organized in mid-43 and ended the war in the French Alps in 1945.

I enjoy the hobby very much and our unit is a great group of guys.  I'm new to this site and I wanted to introduce myself.
