Nagging Question
« on: March 15, 2009, 02:00:43 PM »
I've seen some reenacting over the years and one thing has got me thinking. I've noticed that at some RevWar reenactments, guys always point their muskets directly in the air when they're firing at an opponent. However, at other events, they point them directly at them. Is there any particular reason for this?

i think i remember reading somewhere that to stop any jury from burns and other items that would come flying at high speeds towards someone that events ask the reenactors not to piont at their opponients but above or off to the side of them.

i can't remember if it was an event rules packet or an article in a newsletter , but i think it has something to do with that.

i know our insurance guy has asked that we require our units to fire off to the side or above the guys to lower the chance of injury.

but that is just one girls opinion on it.
