Title: Homefront Police
Post by: bugleboy1942 on February 25, 2007, 08:15:44 PM
Hey everybody,
I wasn't exactly sure where to ask this, so if someone knows a better topic I should put this in tell me. I was wondering; do you know the requirements you had to have to become a police officer on the homefront in the 30's and 40's? And do you know if any teenagers lied about their age to become either a police officer or firefighter like they did in the military?

In world war two you might be thinking of Civil Defense Forces in your area. Tons of teens were part of the CD. They were firefighters , aux cops, plane spotters, air raid wardens, traffic cops, crowd control and many ,many more things too.
Are you looking into WW 2 reenacting now? You have a few local units to chose from. A WW 2 bugler would be a great impression for a us Battlebabies.
