" History " channel?....

Rockman:
Does anybody know what the deal is with the "History Channel", here lately? Yeah, even though it was lovingly referred to as the "Hitler Channel", it had some good historical content, but now....  it's more like the DOOMSDAY channel.  All kinds of cheery apocalyptic scenarios that might be more fitting on the Science or Discovery channels. -- I'm kind of getting tired of finding " The Lost Grocery List of Nostradamus " or any given global disaster scenario show of the week ! I think they've lost their direction.  ???

Ya know,

I haven't noticed what the History Channel has actually been playing in a long time.... But I have noticed that any time a decent looking program about a part of history I am interested in is to be aired... It is on the Discovery Channel...

Do you think the two stations accidentally traded their programming?  :D

Musktr.Willheit:
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of "End of Days" programing. If you can get it try History International. It's kinda like the Mtv syndrome, when they started playing more Real World type crap and had no time for music videos, they started Mtv2 for videos.

I hate to say this but they are joining the club on making you feel guilty for living on planet Earth. I'm leaving a carbon footprint even as I write this note O' noooo.
Brain washing might be alittle too harsh but it has happen in history's past.

Well.... it's an aggravating trend, to say the least.  You can't even go to the Weather channel without getting sermonized about what you can do to " save the planet ".....  I just hope that maybe the producers of the History channel occasionally have a look at this website, and thereby KNOW that not everyone is buying into this kind of propaganda.  I just wish that they'd get back to what attracted us to their channel in the first place... HISTORY!
