Vietnam War Reenacting Units

The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, the Vietnam Conflict, and, in Vietnam, the American War, occurred from March 1959 to April 30, 1975. The war was fought between the communist Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and its communist allies and the US-supported Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). It concluded with the withdrawal of the United States from active combat, the dissolution of South Vietnam, and the failure of United States foreign policy in Vietnam.

On April 30, 1975, the capital of South Vietnam, Saigon, fell to the communist forces of North Vietnam, effectively ending the war. Over 1.4 million military personnel were killed in the war (of which 6 percent were members of the United States armed forces), while estimates of civilian fatalities range up to 2 million.

Delta Troop (AIR) 1/4 Cav 1st Infantry Division (North East and Mid-Atlantic USA)
Delta Troop is a unit made up of men who have dedicated themselves to preserving the memory of the men who fought in Vietnam.  We specialize in living history for Veterans reunions, museums and historical sites.  We are a highly authentic unit.  Uncle Sam needs you sign up today!
Our unit formed in late 1999 and is mainly based in the Mid-Atlantic region of the east coast. We have members in
Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. We attend Vietnam battle reenactments and living history displays
all over the eastern seaboard. We as a unit primarily attend the Nam' 68 event held at the Newville, Pennsylvania site
and also the U.S. 199th Light Infantry Brigade hosted events at the Louisa, Virginia site.
199th U.S. Light Infantry Brigade (Mid-Atlanitc, East Coast USA)
Mission Statement:  To honor and preserve the memory and sacrifices of the gallant men that served in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade in Vietnam and Cambodia from 1966 to 1970 and establish a lasting legacy for them by participating in living history displays, reunions, parades, patriotic American functions and battle reenactments.
We are Reenactor/Historians portraying soldiers from Bravo Company 2/27 25th Infantry Division 1967-1970.

We participate in living history events, Historical Military Displays, and Battle Reenactments. We are headquarted in Des Moines IA but have members in MO,MN,IL,and KS.
Rag Tag Crew (Sweden, South)
We are a group who like re-enactment and living history. Most of us have our roots in airsoft gaming, but have for various reasons moved on to re-enactment/living history. However, that said, we still play now and then and are very comfortable with this.

Most of us think that nature, outdoors experiences, photography, collecting, airsoft and re-enacment/living history meet and connect. Therefore we combine these into one and try to stay together in a group which we call the Rag Tag Crew.
It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If then, our imitation is a confession, then let us explain the purpose of it; let us delineate the mission of 3rd Platoon/Delta Company/2nd Battalion/5th Cavalry Regiment (3/D/2-5 Airmobile), 1st Cavalry Division, Airmobile (Reenactment).

Our mission is twofold. We are affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Historical Group (PNWHG), which is well known for its first class World War II reenactments and displays. On the outset and within a very superficial level, this group of brothers exists to host, exhibit and maintain the highest and most professional level of Vietnam War reenactment and displays in the United States and the World.

This is a lofty statement indeed! It is a goal that we have attained and that we seek to uphold, maintain and even surpass as our knowledge, abilities and collective resources grow ever deeper and wider. How do we achieve this?

Look at our website. It speaks for itself. We are all young men, in the prime of our lives, and we demand the best of our unit and ourselves. We have a wealth of active duty and National Guard experience. We seek to build a unit of young fighting men that we hope will parallel the world that our fathers' occupied so many, yet so few years ago.
