WWII Heritage Days; Falcon Field, Peachtree City, Georgia
« on: March 09, 2011, 07:49:51 PM »
Experience the sights and sounds of World War II, including battle reenactments, when the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Dixie Wing, Falcon Field, Peachtree City, Ga, hosts the annual WWII Heritage Days April 30-May 1, 2011.

The event will be held Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the Dixie Wing Historical Airpower Facility, Falcon Field. We bring together re-enactors, WWII vehicles, vintage aircraft and exhibits as a living history experience for the entire family. "WWII Heritage Days" is a community celebration that will entertain and educate the entire family.

If you live in the Peachtree City Area, own a military vehicle, or collect WWII militaria, we would love to have you come and display your collection.  If you wish to do this, go the WWII Days Hertitage web site listed above and register.

Saturday will conclude with ?Keep ?em Flying?, a WWII-theme hangar dance featuring the Peachtree Jazz Edition. Proceeds from the dance benefit historic aircraft preservation and "Education Through Living History", the group?s WWII history program made available to schools and youth groups free of charge.

Sunday morning will begin with a jeep-top religious service familiar to millions of American servicemen during and since the Second World War.
