Italy Summer of 44

The members of the Illiana Historical Association invite you to our Italian Front Tactical Event to be held at Camp Buffalo in Buffalo,IN. located (SR 39 & 16) near Monticello, IN, August 1 - 3, 2008.

This event is open to reenactors of reenactment entities recognized by the IHA. We require a current membership card as proof that you are a member in good standing.  PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY! NO WALK ONS!

Our goal is to provide an authentic WWII event with the scenarios being played out in a European-like maneuver area.  This is an opportunity to test your abilities against your opponents? using field skills and maneuvering.   You will be expected to carry into the field all the gear, ammo, rations & water you?ll need for each scenario.  There may or may not be an organized break for lunch during the battles.

In order to avoid the appearance of an ?Easter Egg Hunt?, each unit will be assigned objectives and will be required to work with fellow units to attain them.  This will be a fluid tactical event with orders subject to change dependent upon your actions and those of the enemy.

Meals:   The IHA canteen will be open.(Food and Beverages are Free!)  You may also bring your own provisions or eat at one of the many restaurants in the area. Donations accepted and appreciated.

Overnight Accommodations:     Period camping sites and cabins are available.  In order to reserve your campsite or cabin we need to hear from you ASAP.  Cabins are limited!!  Firewood is available.

Swimming Pool: Bring your swim trunks! Pool will  be available for our use.

Arrival: You may arrive after 1300 hours, Friday August 1, 2008.
