Robb,

Cool, I might have a lead on one in the Carpathians in Romania.

From the link on the web descussion group someone made mention of a book (???) Panzers in Finland and later mentiond a city in Finland that I know was put to the torch by the Germans on their was out of Finland so it could be from that army group. Now this is complete guess on my part SO I could be off by a lot.

There was a German Army group stationed in Norway throughout the war.  (Choice duty if you ask me)

For some reason I have always seen a lot of the Pz. IIIN model there.  There is a small chance these were destroyed by resistance, but most likely scuttled by their crews or more likely, they just walked away from them when they had the chance to surrender.  Being left in the weather in Norway for 60+ years can take its toll on steel.

My parents wint to Finland in the mid to late 70's and my dad said that their was all this German WW2 stuff like kitchens and the like just rusting away in the woods in Lapland (nothern Finland)
Now if only I could fire up the "old way back machine" (tm) and snag them. oh well
