The spring WWII Reenactor Garage Sale will be Saturday, March 16 at the Batavia VFW, located at 645 South River Street (IL Route 25) on the east side of the Fox River in Batavia, Illinois, about a half mile south of E. Wilson Street. Batavia is located in the western suburbs of Chicago.
The show opens for business at 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Setup starts at 8:30 a.m. for those who want to vend.
Admission is $5, whether you are buying for selling.
The event is a great opportunity to equip new guys, sell off extra gear, or
buy extras for the impression. Any re-enacting gear is welcome, including gear from other time periods.
Firearms and ammunition are allowed, but you need to follow laws regarding gun and ammo sales. Illinois residents need a valid FOID card to buy or sell and guns need to be transported in case.
The VFW bar downstairs opens at noon, offering soft drinks, beer, full bar
and light refreshments.
From I-88 westbound, exit at Farnsworth, go north. about a half mile down, turn left (west) on Route 56/Butterfield Road. Go down about 3 miles and turn right (north) on Route 25. The VFW will be on the left side about 3 miles down as you enter Batavia.
