Did you know Brass and scrap prices are up.
« on: April 27, 2008, 11:40:38 AM »
As a blank maker too in the WW 2 arena my brass and power prices are going through the roof. I am now picking up my empty blanks and saving my odd brass to take to the scrap yard. Yellow brass is now 50 cent a pound. Pop and beer cans are 80 cents a pound. With this my prices will have to go up on my 30.06 and 8mm that I make.
Scrap cars are now going very big too for money. With that alot of folks who were sitting on unrestored militray vehicles are now scrapping them for the big bucks, classic cars too.
Just giving a heads up to fellow reenactors and vehicle owners. Here is a way to make some extra money.( I save the cans too) If you know of militray vehicles that could be saved even for parts best get the info and contact person ASAP so we can save them.
