Mess Kit question
« on: December 21, 2008, 12:15:13 PM »
Been trying to figure out the type of mess kit seen in the pic carried by the soldier in the pic. Looks like Italian WWII but an intelligence manual I have says it is Austrian WWII. Anyone have a clue? These were carried by the Romanians.

Nope other pictures show the same type of mess kit being used across the board. This is the big hurdle for the Romanian impression. German mess kits were widely used but this type would be a god send to identify.

That seems to be it! Saw pics also on the Romanian WWII forum out of Romania. Unable to locate it for sale anywhere.
