"New" FJ unit in the Great Lakes
« on: January 30, 2008, 09:32:13 PM »
... or is that the "southern" Great Lakes?? ahh, the geography  ???

Introducing: 7.Kompanie, Fallschirmjaeger Regiment 6. I'm in Indianapolis, but my 2nd is up in Chicago... which is pretty much the core of the unit. We're affiliating with 5./FJR.6 (Don Calder, east-coast) and 6./FJR.6 (Mike Schnieders, Kansas City), basically "battalion buddies"... II.Batallion, to be exact. Right now we are few, made up of experienced reenactors from a couple different groups that have split up, but 2008 will be our year to get this show on the road.

Our focus will be on doing it the real German way: language, singing, tactics--- the whole deal. Standards will be very high, and we hope to do some training events along with the usual tacticals & public deals, but we're starting small. Interested in networking with other like-minded German units in the area so we can share some experience & Kameradschaft. And as always, on the lookout for serious, like minded individuals committed to authenticity and having fun doing it right!
