reenactorNet

This would be the blog of one Marshall J. Wise or "Marsh" to my friends -- it's "Marshall" to the company or others who know me not. If you are friend, then 'tis Marsh. Anywho, this be just my thoughts and bloviations on life, reenacting, the world and other thoughtless provoking crap. Yes, I am a reenactor, yes, I own reenactor.Net... Remember: work to live, not live to work.

*(and yes, look up the word bloviate on google)

Hmmm, "about me" huh? It's kind of boring. I'm a truck driver hauling U.S. Mail for a Postal Contractor. Reenacting Lessee, I am into reenacting... WWI, WWII and Roman. Doing the first two, I portray a German (no, I don't care one bit if you're offended), in the last, I do a 1st Century Roman impression. I find the Roman Empire fascinating. r.Net I have owned reenactor.Net (the biggest reenactor website on the planet) since 1998 and am constantly trying to make it better (for that, I really need 37 hour days). One good thing about r.Net is it allows me to meet and know a lot of really great and nice people who's knowledge just leaves me floored. How I think... Do you really care about how I think? I'm kind of a dork... If you read the blog, you'll see how I think (or don't think, if you listen to a lot of people).

too early for me

Isn't that a theme with me? I don't like mornings -- I don't function well in the morning. Never have, never will. Oh well...

Nice day out. Sunny, still cold. Soon it will be steamy-ass "jungle hot" here in Pennsylvania :-( One of the things I DO hate about the East coast. Oh well.

People kill me. The trucker's strike is a prime example -- it's never going to work/happen until EVERYONE gets on board. Until drivers just start blocking the turnpike exits and toll booths, the GW Bridge in New York, TH Delaware Memorial Bridge. Lockup the DC Beltway. That's what it will take. That, and perhaps someone actually shooting at trucks. I know my company wouldn't stop for anything less and in fact, I am pretty sure they'd expect us to go even if there was violence :-0 We haul mail and they won't jeopardize their contracts over something like driver safety -- alas, just how it is. Wish it were different, but in today's world, it won't get any better I fear.

My health seems better. I'd get the stress down if I could get some bills paid. Oh well, know I'm not alone there. Have you ever noticed how your bills expand to meet your income?
