This is the "pre-page" for the "official" 17. LwFD web site. 17. LwFD is an organization dedicated to WWII historical reenacting. We portray a unit of the Wehrmacht and as such strive to do this as accurately as possible.

If you find that there is an error, P L E A S E send me an E-mail so that I may correct the problem.

Among the things that are installed on this site are some midi music files--they might cause your browser to flash you a warning message about malicious files, virus's, etc. DO NOT PANIC, this is simply the browser telling you that it must add a midi plug-in--it is NOT a virus, it is not damaging, it will not destroy your computer and it will NOT cause your brains to melt or moths to get into your uniform collection, etc.

Also, some of the pictures on this site may take a bit of time to download (we are getting better on this, but some still take a bit to view), so please bear with us, as we feel that you will enjoy this site!

Victory at any price!

Now I am sure some jack-ass will get the idea from art like this picture to the left, that we are Nazis--No, Nein, Nyet! The Hakenkreuz (swastika) was the national symbol of Germany from 1933 to 1945--you cannot do an impression of the German soldier without the associated imagery. Don't whine at us, deal with it!

No RACISTS

Disclaimer
[that means you should read it]

The members of the 17. LwFD Living History Unit are not affiliated with any racist, radical or right wing political movement, especially and including, the neo-Nazi movement. We are students of Military Science not political science. The sole intention of this site is to inform an individual who expresses an interest, in the recreation of a time in history; to which end we do our best!

Thank You for your interest!

One other note before you enter the 17. LwFD Site:

I still HIGHLY recommend that you go download either the Netscape or Firefox browser and use it... it's FREE and even though I.E. 7 finally follows standards, it still is too vulnerable. Alas, most online viruses are written to work w/ Internet Explorer, not Netscape or Firefox I cannot see why anyone would use I.E.--except that it comes with Windows. It's your choice, but I believe that Netscape is the better deal. Click the icon below to go to Netscape's Net Center.

Netscape NOW!

Yeah, of course I wanna go
to the 17. LwFD 's homepage!
