Unit Rules and RegulationsIn order to maintain historical accuracy and authenticity we have established high uniform, equipment, and grooming standards. Our policy is to maintain a RIGOROUS standard in order to present a correct visual impression of a WW2 German combat infantryman. ALL uniforms, equipment and weapons must be inspected and approved by either the unit C.O. or Authenticity N.C.O. Our unit has a very good reputation with the WWII HRS and other re-enactors which in turn is due to our high standards. Authenticity and uniform requirements are not just so much nonsense created to make your life miserable and cost you hundreds of dollars. When you cheat on authenticity you are cheating everyone in the unit and those around you of the "feel" of the 1940's. Our authenticity policy is as follows: 1ST OFFENSE: member will be informed of the offense, he may participate in the battle if the offense is not glaring but MUST have offense corrected by the next event. 2ND OFFENSE: member will not be allowed to participate in the battle until offense is corrected. 3RD OFFENSE: if after two warnings the member still chooses to ignore our authenticity requirements, he will be asked to find another unit. HAIR LENGTH: Not to touch the ears or collar, with hair on the back and sides to be cut in a tapered fashion. The cut should resemble a WWII era military style. FACIAL HAIR: Mustaches are permitted at all events but must be trimmed in period style. Beards are permitted in our unit but must be trimmed to 2cm in period style. EYEGLASSES: If you wear glasses, you must have frames of a 1940's style, or wear contacts. WATCHES: NO MODERN WATCHES! No watch at all, is better than a plastic banded digital. If you must have a watch, a period style pocket watch is fine. ALCOHOL: Consumption of alcoholic beverages at public events is strictly forbidden. If you can't go without a beer long enough to perform in the battle and field questions from the public stay home! Any changes in unit requirements will be voted upon at a unit meeting. A new member will be listed as a private and promotions will be based upon attendance to events, participation and service to the unit. |
