Our Organization does a portrayal of sub-units of the elite "Hermann Göring" Panzer Division. Our members are a group of dedicated living historians, who together, strive to show an accurate portrayal of an often overlooked unit of the German military during World War 2. Our unit participates in events around the southeastern United States. We take part in display events, called "living histories" and also unscripted battle reenactments called "tacticals."

At living history events we set up static displays and demonstrate many aspects of the life of the average Jäger of the Panzer Division "Hermann Goring". When our unit takes part in battle reenactments, we use period weapons and tactics to work in the field, just as the members of the original HG did during the Second World War.

Historical reenacting is an exciting hobby to get involved in -- it gives our members the opportunity to gain a better appreciation of what the soldiers of all nations endured during World War 2. Among the things we do are collecting uniforms, equipment and weapons that were used by the Hermann Göring Division.

Members of our unit are currently involved in building a full-scale Sturmgeschütze (Stug) III, restoring a FLAK 38t and a Ford flatbed truck. We are currently looking for more vehicles. We also have an interest in acquiring a German Field Kitchen.

About Us

The recreated "Hermann Göring" Panzer Division is made up of:

  • a Stab (command element )
  • a Sturmgeschütze Kompanie (XX element)
  • a Panzer Aufklärungs (armored reconnaissance element)
  • a Panzergrenadier Zug (armored infantry element)
  • and a Flak Zug (anti-aircraft element).

Our group is a member unit of the National Military History Association and as such, supports that organization's events and goals. We are a group of military historians and we have no political aims or goals.

If all this sounds interesting to you, contact our unit through the button below or on our recruiting page. A note: You need to be in good physical shape and be willing to attend 3 or 4 events a year to be in our unit.

Historical Note and Disclaimer: Hermann Göring was not only a famous and successful WWI Flying Ace (so successful that he was Manfred v.Richthofen's replacement as the "flying Cirucs" squadron commander after v.Richthofen's death), but after the Great War, he had also become an influential and close friend of Adolf Hitler.

Our group did not choose to portray this unit to glorify Hermann Göring, but instead show a little-seen and interesting unit, who's soliders fought bravely for their country.

The members of the recreated "Hermann Göring" Panzer Division do not try to glorify, or in any way, support the ideals, beliefs or goals of the political regime of Germany during the Third Reich period. We are NOT affiliated with any racist, radical or right wing political movement, especially and including, the neo-Nazi movement. We are students of Military Science not political science. The sole intention of this website is to inform an individual, who expresses an interest in what we do, about our recreation of a time in history; to which end we do our best!

We do not wish nor allow, allow anyone, who has a political agenda, racist or otherwise (nor people with who wish to spread such beliefs), to be a member of our organization -- if this is what you're looking for, please go no further, as it's not going to happen with us!
