All units must inspect and certify in writing that ALL SAFETY RULES will
be complied with, only commercially manufactured blank ammunition is used,

The Individual Responsibility
Each individual participant assumes all personal risk and liability for his

Unit Munitions Inspection
Guide Lines and Certification of Blank Ammunition:
The MCA requires that all munitions and individual rounds be inspected
and that this inspection be certified by the inspector.
Inspection Instructions:
- IDENTIFY AND PAY SPECIAL SCRUTINY
TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE ORGANIZATION WHO ALSO SHOOT LIVE AMMUNITION WHEN NOT
AT REENACTMENTS.
- ALL BLANKS ROUNDS MUST BE DRY
AND CLEAN WITH WHOLE CUT CRIMPS. "Cut" crimps discharge brass
fragments. Bad or damp powder is slow to ignite. WARNING: ALLOW AT LEAST
A FULL MINUTE BEFORE EJECTING "HANGFIRES" FROM YOUR WEAPON.
- COMMERCIAL WOOD TIP ROUNDS
MUST BE VERIFIED AS BLANK AMMUNITION. From each commercial batch select
a round and break off the wood tip and ensure that it is hollow down to
the point. Wood tips must be used in blank adapter weapons (such as an MG42)
that also blow out debris. WARNING: CARBON WILL BUILD UP IN ADAPTERS AND
MAY CAP THE BARREL, CAUSING AN EXPLOSION.
- NO MINES, BOOBY TRAPS OR TRIP
WIRED DEVICES. Unless otherwise cleared by a designated W2HPG officer.
- PERSONAL HAND GRENADES. Grenades
must have either a soft vinyl or paper body with a Pyrodex powder charge
of no more then 120 grains and a weight filler of Baking Soda only. There
will be no staples or other elements that could be sent flying. Each unit
must test a sample of each type of grenade. Rubber grenades are okay—do
not throw at someone's face.
- LARGE GUNS (greater than .50
caliber). Inform the designated WW2 MCA officer of your intentions to bring
such a device in the field for permission to use for further instructions.
Inform the MCA officer (at this time, Yergen Koshcyk) of your intentions
to bring such a device for further instructions.
