Civil War Encampment
« on: February 11, 2008, 03:10:04 PM »
I would like to extend an invitation to you to attend our Civil War encampment in August of 2008. The event information is listed below. Our historic village is a restored mid-nineteenth century mining village in the heart of the anthracite coal fields of northeast Pennsylvania. We have 58 restored miner?s homes, two 1860s churches, doctors? office, company store, and three owner?s mansions spread out over 100 acres including two large fields for drilling, camping, and recreating a tactical battle scenario. Our plan for the battle scenario will include a fight in the woods and fields around the town and then a fight right down main street trough the center of the village. Our event is growing every year and this year we would like to include more Confederate forces so our visitors can learn more about the other side of the Civil War. I look forward to hearing from you.

Your servant,
Bill Strassner
