I'll be there...trying to find my 'papers' as we speak!  May have to go standard civilian - can't seem to find my FFI tag.

Well, looks like Writer78 got some really good photos.  There are a few out there in Flickr that are very impressive.

Here are just a few that I managed - but only a few.  Here is Jeff and Blaze hanging out.  I was way too busy socializing...and...stuff.

and here's me with my buddy Jeff

Thanks Philonivs!

Yes, That's me in my original 1944 suit.  I got everything via eBay, too.  And yes, Jeff also does Golden Age of Pyracy with me too!   He's a great "comrade"  ;)

Sweet :)
Although if that photo gets back to our Kommisar, he might recommend a reeducation program..... those decadent capitalist threads might have had a negative influence, hehe

Do you have a bunch of other period dresses? I need to network with people to maybe do civilian. Anything in European attire?

Thanks so much!  So nice of you!

It was a cool event; I had never even seen WWII reenactors until Reenactor Fest, so I was very pleased to make it to a couple WWII events this season.

If you have time and want to click into my Flickr account again, you can also see some photos from the Batavia WWII event in May.

Gosh Philonivs, this is the first 'civilian' outfit I've purchased.  Felt strange to be in girl clothes for this time period.  I am usually dressed in 'boy's clothes' running around doing FFI - Sadly, I didn't do it this year due to the fact I could find my FFI arm band and half of my kit.

As for the female element, the WACs that were there this past weekend were selling a ton of stuff...day dress, fancy dress for partys, fall stuff too.  As for 'European' stuff - I am sure if you look hard enough you can find a few things on-line (eBay, Reenactor Stuff.com, and others) to fit the bill.

Awesome... too bad you didn't have that FFI stuff. The photos I saw of the FFI looked good! Sometimes the resistance/partisans don't do it justice.

No, I was asking YOU if you had European civilian wardrobe. You have a little, if you're doing FFI, although that's "working" clothes  ;D
I have a start myself, but need to shop around for some really good stuff still.

By the way, I saw these stats on Rockford:

OFFICIAL STATS:

740 - Number of registered re-enactors as of Sunday's close (Hands
down the largest WWII event in Midwest and placing either second or
third in U.S. behind Ft. Indian Town Gap, Penn.)

5,919 - total paid public attendance (a record weekend for Midway
Village)

470 - Number of HRS members attending the event

270 - Number of non-HRS members attending (about 60 percent were
TSG, rest from other societies)

232 - Number of re-enactors who traveled more than 5 hours or more
to attend the event

Re-enactors came from: Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio,
Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, Texas, Virginia,
Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Massacussets, Kansas, Rhode Island,
Maryland, Iowa, Florida, and Ontario Canada. The furtherest person
traveled from Crakow, Poland.

7 - Number of injuries, all minor, mostly cuts from preparing dinners

0 - number of accidents and injuries from re-enacting

1 - Traffic violation (speeding through camps and village)

Awesome!!! It's becoming quite the event... I didn't realize it was that much bigger than Lowell!

I was out at Rockford! I was in the dummy seat in the halftrack/tankdestoryer. Talk about having the best seat in the house.
Great time!
