Supreme Court rules on gun ban in DC

Well they said 5-4 it is an individual right to own a gun. Not as strong as it could have been but a step in the right direction. I hope that NYC realizes their bans are bs and things are a little better now. What are your opinions on it?

This is just the next round in a fight that will never end.  I see some victories coming for our side out of this but it will soon reverse if Obama is elected.

While I find it to be good news, it really does not effect me.  I am happy for the ones that are effected that they may be allowed this choice to defend themselves if they so wish.

On the other hand, the court really had no option.  Voting the other way would have lead to far worse consequences for the nation as many have decided that no ban will ever effect them.

Sitting here with nothing to do all day allowed me to watch the stupidity on the Communist News Network (CNN)  The Comedy channel could not have done a better job keeping me entertained.

For me the vote is way too close. What are they thinking?? We have to be very careful here even in Pennsylvania. Fast Eddie our Gov is for gun bans too. He would be happy to do it in a heart beat. He was trying to make us  only buy or sell one gun a month not so long ago. A ration on weapons.

Everyone keep your eyes and ears open to see what is comming our way,

Well, remember, the court DOES have some liberals. It's unfortunate that they don't see that most freedoms spring form THIS freedom, but that's how some people are 0| As much as I get mad at them sometimes, I do realize that without liberals we'd end up w/ some really draconian laws and bad government (\:=) I just wish there was some common-sense there, instead of just running on emotions.

I guess I'll just have to rejoice in the fact that ding-dongs are allowed to have their opinions too... otherwise you end up enraged all the time -- that's a reason I never listen to Rush anymore, he's funny sometimes, but... I don't need my blood pressure raised by him or Sean Hannity... I agree w/ them a lot... sometimes not, but I think we all just need to drink more beer >O smoke more you know what ~|o and just relax. yoy
My 2 silver pennies on this...

Just heard the NRA is now also looking at the gun laws in NYC. Please let them come and take it to court here! The NYPC and Government are going to do their best to keep them the way they are. To charge a $400 aplication fee, $75 FBI background check fee then if you are lucky another 3 or 400 hundred dollars just for having the registration card. Then only 4 guns a year and can only register one gun every 91 days! That is really  oo-P it to ya! >:(
