Hello Chaps,

Everything is a first for me in this forum at the moment. I'd like to throw this question out to the forum...

Q.. Does anyone have information as to whether or not there are any Allied WW.1 Re-enactment groups in the California area?

Thank you in advance.

There are! What are you interested in?

For US, there's Co. G, 364th Infantry that I belong to.

Hello, and thank you so much for your reply.

I was a member of the York and Lancaster Regiment in England, that's a unit of the Great War Society. It was my hope that there may be a British unit or two somewhere here on the west coast, especially California. If not, then I'm quite willing to knit in with a US unit. The field drills, equipment and general orders are different, but I'm a fast learner. Being a former career Royal Marine Commando of 22-years service, I've no problem with weekends in the field. My specialist interest and hobby is an off-shoot to one of my RM jobs... Infantry Weapons Instructor. I would be a great asset to my unit.

Are there any British Regiments this side of the country?

Seph..   :)

This is the GWHS (Great War Historical Society). The website hasn't been updated in awhile.

Hasn't the GWHS fallen on hard times since the loss of their primary site? Or has that issue been resolved?
