The Great Rationing Experiment
« on: July 13, 2008, 06:11:45 AM »
Hi all
This is my first time (Ohh matron!) posting here, I was a re enactor in the uk and later formed a Historical events organising company, which i sold out of some 4 - 5 years ago.  Now just a normal boring 9 to 5 er.

My wife and I wife have been eating organic food from loacl farmers markets for the last year...no please don?t go yet where not some tree hugging gits...I like to axes down a hippy as much as the next man  ;) (sorry my old medieval trendancies slipped through there  ;))

She suggested that as so much food is wasted in the country (UK) as a whole it would be a good idea to try eating for a week on WW2 rations.

She has put together a web blog type thing  ???, to show what we are doing. PLEASE if you have time please take a look and give us some feedback or suggestions or info you know or have links to.

The link is :......

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Thanks again for your time, chin chin

Very interesting. It will definately show you how to make items last over a period of time. Trust me, I see how much we waste here in NYC!
