"Come out and celebrate the lifeways of the 18th century at Fort Defiance. We will have re-enactors showing off different skills on both Saturday and Sunday. Also, come and see Fort Defiance and learn about the exciting programs that we are putting into place this year. "

This is an opportunity for volunteers and living history to engage with the new site staff.

"I had a great weekend a at Fort Defiance. I chatted with several people interested in joining our group. I would like to set a muster for the 1st Saturday in November to work on gear. I want to have a muster every 2 months for gear and drill. For now it is come as you are. I eventually want to do a weekend historical trek in the area be we can talk about that once people start getting their gear together."

"Remember we will be doing a muster the first Saturday in November. Wear your 18th century gear and if you don't have any please come anyway and participate. I want this group to be inclusive so all are welcome. Men, women, and children are all welcome. I really want to reach out to those who have always wanted to be in reenactment. "
