Purpose of Celebrate 1838: Educate visitors about life in Metamora in the nineteenth century through demonstrations of period arts and crafts, educational demonstrations and reenactments.

This is a combined effort of the Metamora Economical Development Corporation and the Department of Natural Resources. There is no fee for set up, providing the applicant is dressed in period clothing and all aspects of his/her craft is demonstrated in the same manner, using period tools, etc.
