Title: Hello from Seattle!
Post by: msyankee on July 12, 2012, 06:36:54 PM
Hello!

I joined up with this forum because my brother is taking me to a Civil War reenactment for the first time. I'd like to wear something casual (i.e. not a gown.) Any ideas?

Thanks,

Alison

Welcome ! How long do you have to prepare ? Maybe an army nurse impression ? Best of luck.

Reenacting is a great hobby. There are people who reenact almost every time period in history and there is something for everyone. Reenacting gives one the ability to "step into" the time period and just live. There is usually NO script, you just do what you want. Some public events are different, but many are private, just for the reenactors themselves.

Please look around and ask questions!
