The 4th Annual SteamPunk Cruise will probably have more time periods represented. I understand that some returning cruisers (it is a very good sign when so many of us return) are working on Regency and DieselPunk among other things. Western, ACW, Boer, and Edwardian folks barely have to try.
-
Although some details of the 4th Annual SteamPunk Cruise have not been finalized this far out there are tentative plans for a "military uniform day" and the Hugo authoress http://maryrobinettekowal.com/ offered to host two costume competitions. One for linen (Regency?) and one for costumes made for curtains.

One of the high points of the SteamPunk Cruise will be the high tea at the 18th century Good Hope plantation: http://insidejourneys.com/good-hope-great-house-plantation/ As an 18th century reenactor I have seen some marvelous period houses but this is unique and ingenious. There is also a zipline for those less tea inclined.

XOCOLATI - THE CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE
ROATAN, HONDURAS
Make chocolate the way the Mayans did centuries ago. Your adventure begins with a guided island tour and sightseeing highlights on your drive to a cacao plantation. There, you’ll have a chance to learn how cacao trees are planted and cared for as well as how cacao pods are harvested. Get a close look at the complete lifecycle of this amazing tree. See how cacao seeds are fermented and dried by natural sunlight. Then roast, grind and make your own exquisite chocolate bars to take home. While waiting for your chocolate bars to set, join your guide for a tour through the botanical gardens, where you will see the famous Honduran mahogany, plus coffee trees, orchids, a variety of herbs and spices, tropical plants and fruit trees. After, enjoy a tropical fruit tasting in the garden in a palapa, a thatched shelter made from palm tree leaves. Plus savor a delicious traditional lunch featuring chicken, rice beans and fried plantains. RTB5

I have some good news for any one interested in joining this SP cruise - after a spell of very high booking fares there has been a significant improvement in sale prices on https://www.vacationstogo.com/fastdeal.cfm?deal=13069 back down to $719./pp (from over a thousand) so there must have been some cancellations on this popular cruise.
Of course always check directly with Royal Caribbean for prices https://www.royalcaribbean.com/ especially if you can use the "50% off second guest" sale or you qualify for the "over 55", veteran, or returning cruiser discounts.
Again this is on the Adventure of the Seas departing from Ft Lauderdale March 28th, 2020. By linking reservations we can receive preferred dining seats, meeting rooms, lounges, and even discounts or on board credit.

It is getting to be time to start planning the 9th Annual SP Cruise for 2021. We are considering this one mostly because it is on one of the largest cruise ships in the world, has a new stop for us, and is returning to St Kitts, which we enjoyed.

We are also considering the same (HUGE) ship and itinerary for the first weeks of March & April 2021. The rooms may be slightly higher prices though. We are hoping to receive more input from past and new cruisers.

Basically the thought for 2021 is that Oasis of the Seas is one of the maybe four largest cruise ships in the world and as a group that has cruised together we have come to enjoy the amenities available on these city-like cruise ships a little more than the smaller ships. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwLOG87OOGA
While SteamPunk overlaps with Victorian & Western reenactors, we welcome anyone wearing similar. We enjoy being seated for formal supper together (a lot more fun than it sounds) and the more linked reservations that we get the larger the shared discounts and onboard credits. If you have never taken a cruise having a group of interesting like minded people to hang out with makes a world of difference. Royal Caribbean has cancelled all cruises through April 2021. We are planning for a cruise between February and April 2022 now.
Royal Caribbean made a generous offer of 125% credit on our cancelled cruises. By dumb luck we had splurged on a suite which turned into a "winning lottery ticket" of sorts. Since the credit expired 12/31/2021 and it is significantly more than the cruise that our regulars have chosen (and we have to fly from Alaska) we are staying on the ship for a back-to-back cruise to Mexico and Honduras.

After yet a 2nd annual SteamPunk Cruise being cancelled we are making plans for the 2022 cruise.
There have been several cruises proposed but the front runner is a repositioning cruise aboard the Radiance of the Seas through the Panama Canal in April 2022. This is a 13 night cruise departing Miami and ending in Los Angeles.
For more information please see https://www.facebook.com/groups/189772278077087 or PM me.
France started the canal in 1881 and Teddy Roosevelt finished it in 1904 so there will be a little history in addition to some other interesting ports.

It looks like this cruise won the polling since folks have started making reservations. After two cancellations we are jonesing for a long cruise and are a little worried that these will be sold out early.

Our 3rd scheduled cruise for the "8th" Annual SteamPunk Naval Veterans Expedition has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Like the the previous cancelled cruises we were really looking forward to the Panama Canal cruise.
Our new plan is actually two back-to-back sailings on the same giant ship, the Allure of the Seas. This in not just to hedge our bets but to give cruisers the flexibility of joining either or both cruises. (We are staying in the same cabin for both.)
For more information please see: https://www.facebook.com/events/1422136707978266
(https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/img/tour/CACMRUINS-2.jpg)
BTW - both sailings start at surprisingly good prices but the 2nd 6 day cruise to Mexico & Ruatan is only $501.00 per person for double cabin occupancy.
SALE: The 2nd six day sailing is on sale for just $311.00/person on 0https://www.vacationstogo.com/fastdeal.cfm?deal=15462
