1812 Battle of St. Leonards Creek
« on: September 04, 2012, 09:49:15 AM »
Sept 22-23, 2012. Jefferson Patterson Park in Calvert Co MD. See jef-pat.org. The War of 1812 Royal Marine Light Infantry, the Royal Marine
Light Artillery and numerous other uniformed British & American reenactors will be present to reenact this 198th anniversary event. The 200th is coming !

Interested in reenacting the War of 1812 ? LOTS of units are here in the mid Atlantic area. Find one and get involved before the 200th anniversarsary events come & go.

Cost of this years event is a couple bucks per person, couple bucks per car parking for spectators. No cost to reenactors.

This event has the battle scenarios, both camps to peruse and something called "Tavern Night" for some after hours fun. There will be 1812 period musical / vocalist entertainment at the indoor pavillion (photo of indoor 4000 sq.ft. barn pavillion on website under rentals), adult beverages will be available & a good time in general. Plan accordingly, numerous hotels are available in the nearby Solomons Island area.

PM me if I can answer a question about the St. Leonards Creek event.

Cheers, Johnnie, 2 RMLI 1812-1814.
