Merry Meet & Welcome

Brightest Yule Blessings!

Samhain is the best time to find a wand. Search in your yard, a park, anywhere you have access to walk among trees. Oak, Holly, Ash, Rowan, Birch, Hazel, Elm, Hawthorn, and Willow are the accepted norm. If you are like me, living nowhere near any of these trees, use what you can find.

I live in northern California, and except the 200 foot pine trees surrounding my home, I have Manzanitas. A very large Manzanita in my front yard offered me an exquisite wand. If you have never seen one, it has dark red, smooth bark and is incredibly strong. I feel that with the magick I do where I live is much more empowered buy using a wand from a local tree.

I also have a 8" cinnamon stick that is a perfect wand for the Yule season.

When you go to select a wand, tell the trees why you are there and what you wish to seek. Chances are, a tree will offer a branch to you. If you wish, preform a simple ritual to thank the tree, and place any offerings at the base of the tree.

Wand Ritual

" O mighty tree, I give thanks for your offering this branch. Great Goddess, thanks are given for guiding my hand to this branch. As it honours you in this forest, may it honour you in my craft."

Beware touching the wand to the Earth, it's energies and powers will return to the Earth.

Finding your own wand is a deeply fulling rite, and it links all of the magick preformed with it to our Goddess and the Earth.

Blessed Be!
