This is the "pre-page" for the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Reenactor's Resource Site. The IJA Site is dedicated to the study of WWII and in furthering historical reenacting of the Pacific Theater of Operations.
Disclaimer and IntentThis website is intended to foster interest in, and serve as a conduit for, reenacting the Imperial Japanese Army in WWII. We do not condone, in any way, the often cruel and inhumane actions of members of the Japanese military of this time. Many horrible things happened in the Second World War. What we are doing is HISTORICAL REENACTING -- we are students of military history and purpose is to learn the lessons of the Second World War. We are not here to glorify or judge anyone, but instead, try to understand a formidable foe. Lastly, there was a lot more to WWII that just the European Theater of Operations (ETO) after June 6, 1944 (which is what 99% of all WWII reenactments tend to be) and to show the Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO) correctly, you need both sides. History should be about the TRUTH, not politically correct platitiudes and happy-happy, joy-joy ideals. If you are offended by this click here. |
BTW, if you find an error on the site, P L E A S E, send us an E-mail so that we may correct the problem.
Among the things that are installed on this site are some midi music files [okay, not loaded yet] -- they might cause your browser to flash you a warning message about malicious files, virus's, etc. DO NOT PANIC, this is simply the browser telling you that it must add a midi plug-in [if it even needs to do this anymore -- most already have it, but...] -- it is NOT a virus, it is not damaging, it will not destroy your computer and it will NOT cause your brains to melt or moths to get into your uniform collection, etc.
One other note before you enter the IJA Site:

I still HIGHLY recommend that you go download the new Netscape browser (7.0+) and use it! It's FREE and by using Netscape, you're not supporting Bill Gates! Add to this, the fact that Netscape comes with AOL/Netscape Messenger (AIM), a program that allows real-time communication (again for FREE), and that most online viruses are written to work with I.E. -- not Netscape, I cannot see why anyone would use I.E. -- except that it comes with Windows. It's your choice, but I believe that Netscape is the better deal. If ya wanna give it a whirl, click the icon above to go to Netscape's Net Center and download the new Netscape!
