Just got back from Florida and the British Nightwatch event in St. Augustine, Fla.   VERY NICE people running the event.  Kinda wierd to see lights in palm trees and wearing shorts while listening to christmas music.....very pretty town, nice historical sites with the Castillo and the spanish quarter.  Very nice tavern, reminded me of the back of the taverns in Colonial Williamsburg.  My husband and I fell in love with the town itself.  We decided that with plane tickets so cheap to St. Augustine, that we'll go back just for a romantic weekend for the touristy stuff.   Interesting side bar.....we were leaving the Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld later that week and were buying the usual tourist gifts.  The young man behind the counter asked Terry about his baseball cap (Old Fort Mackinac) and said that he was from Detroit and that his family reenacts the F & I war and have gone to the fort.....what a small world after all  :)
the flamingos are my minions.
