WWII Heritage Days, Falcon Field, Peachtree City, GA
« on: February 24, 2012, 08:33:03 PM »
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Dixie Wing, located at Falcon Field, Peachtree City, Ga, will host our annual fund raising event, the 2012 WWII Heritage Days, on April 14-15.  Proceeds from the weekend benefits our efforts in preserving and operating historic military aircraft and "Education Through Living History" program.

Gates open Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 AM with the public event running to 4:00 PM.  We bring together re-enactors, WWII vehicles, vintage aircraft and exhibits as a living history experience for the entire family.

Take a look at this video of the ETO battle on YouTube from last year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTT7uk5-7Hs

Saturday night will feature our popular ?Keep ?em Flying? Swing Dance, a WWII-theme hangar dance featuring the Peachtree Jazz Edition along with many people comming in period dress and uniforms.

Sunday morning will begin with a religious service conducted on the hood of a WWII Jeep, something familiar to millions of American servicemen during and since the Second World War.

If you live in the general Peachtree City Area, participate in WWII Reenacting, own a military vehicle, or collect WWII militaria, we would love to have you come and join us.  If you would like to come, go the WWII Days Hertitage http://www.wwiidays.org/ and click on the Register Link.  While you're there, take a look at the gallery of pictures we are building!
