1600-1800 / Re: Getting started reenacting classes:
« Last post by Karl Helweg on September 30, 2022, 03:24:51 pm »
Historic cooking has become very popular on YouTube such as:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAD3wLWvUYM   Von Steuben

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxr2d4As312LulcajAkKJYw  Townsends has many inspirational cooking videos.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR846JS3zbA  Tasting History with Max Miller (Viking blood bread)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ct_UoocJLxo  Landsknecht Cookbook

Few things make a reenactor happier than food.  This is also an excuse opportunity to collect some wonderful new cooking gear like eathenware, pewter, forest glass, tinned copper, cast iron, etc....

How these SteamPunk cruises work is that you book your own cruise at the best price that you can find like this site (Vacationstogo), COSTCO, USAA, direct from Royal Caribbean International, etc...  The contact me or one of the other organizers to "link reservation numbers."   The perks to this linking includes at least being seated together at dining but (don;t get your hopes too high) extra conference rooms, berths, onboard credit, or even rebates.   And you get to hang out with cool people.

BTW - Fort Defiance seems to need a new (thick skinned) person to take the lead for living history events there.
