Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu. At the time of his birth, he held dual citizenship in the U.S. (by virtue of being born in Hawaii) and was a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (or the UKC) by virtue of being born to a father who was a citizen of the UKC. He lost his Kenyan citizenship automatically on his 21st birthday.

Kenya recognizes dual citizenship for children, but specifies that at age 21, Kenyan citizens who possesses citizenship in more than one country automatically lose their Kenyan citizenship unless they formally renounce any non-Kenyan citizenship and swear an oath of allegiance to Kenya.

Part of the hoopla over seems to have started with an mistake made in an article in Rocky Mountain News August 6, 2008 which claimed he still had duel citizenship. The paper's editor, John Temple, formally apologized for the error on Aug. 15, 2007 ( http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/aug/15/eight-word-gaffe-ripples-across-web/ )

More info see: http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/does_barack_obama_have_kenyan_citizenship.html

So what it really comes down to is a question of whether someone who had duel citizenship as a child is or is not a "natural born citizen" as required by the Constitution to be president

"At least one lawsuit conceded that he (Obama) was a citizen by virtue of birth in Hawaii, but argued that he was nevertheless not a natural-born citizen because of his entitlement to dual citizenship (through his father) at birth. As of December 26, 2008 no court has agreed with these challenges; some (but not all) of the cases have been dismissed because of the plaintiff's lack of standing."
-from Wikipedia on "Natural born citizenship" Heck according to that even John McCain's eligibility was questioned since he was born in at the Coco Solo Naval Air Station in the Panama Canal Zone.

As a gun owner and stock holder I am questioning everything our new president is doing. Ban machine guns? They have been banned since what the 1930's. Does this mean all class 3 owned weapons wil have to be handed in? Also AP rounds every gun catalog that sell ammo sell AP rounds. Many pistols use this ammo, humm.
As for stock market. My jeep is a better investment so maybe I'll restore another militray vehicle.

As an investor I am worried. I have seen the portfolio drop 60% but most of this as soon as Obama became president. I hope he see's that everytime he opens his mouth the market falls. The Treasury Secretary is a joke since he helped mastermind the initial bailout and also along his career forgot to pay some taxes. However it seems that is the case with Obama's selections: tax evaders. Makes me think his judgement skills are below average (especially with his past connections).

With a free-market economy the best solutions was to let the companies that are strong enough to survive do so while those who were weak fade into history. The US automobile industry relied too much on gas guzzlers (but of course for many years that is all the US consumer purchased). Government intervention only pro-longs the agony as we will see.

Obama is dangerous it seems for gunowners. To plan to charge a lot of taxes on guns and ammo is ridiculous. How many people can actually afford antique class III weapons is small so what is the real danger? I understand in the cities but would you really see people walking around with rifles and MG's? No! My father who hasn't bought a gun in 15 years is buying them now thanks to Obama becoming president. Hopefully 2010 sees a better election result for Congress and Pelosi booted out along with Reid, Dodd and Frank.
