The 34th Simon Kenton Harvest Festival
Washington, KY
September 18th & 19th, 2010

Come join ?The Simon Kenton Harvest Festival? and take part in ?Rediscovering the Historic Days of Washington, Kentucky.?              Our Historic Village was named for Revolutionary War hero George Washington.  Frontiersman Simon Kenton first arrived in Washington in 1775, returning 10 years later to play a big part in recruiting people to the area.  Washington was once the second largest city in Kentucky, with 119 log cabins stretching for 1 mile.  Our historic village is now known as ?Old Washington.?  We are located in Maysville Kentucky, 60 miles east of Cincinnati, Ohio and 60 miles northeast of Lexington, Kentucky.
The Simon Kenton Harvest Festival will have hands-on activities and demonstrations for adults and children.  We have a first person pioneer presentation of Simon Kenton and a presentation about Daniel Boone.  There will be Folk, Dulcimer & Blue Grass music, and much more..!

For our visitors to experience the Frontier Era of Simon Kenton, we are looking for frontier re-enactors from the 1780?s through the early 1800?s.  We will provide amenities you need such as a camp site, ?good firewood?, fresh water, ice, straw, bathrooms and showers all at no charge.  We are hoping to have more than 100 vendors, many of which return each year.  For further information, should you have questions please call (606) 564-9419 or email Suzie Pratt at suziepratt@maysvilleky.net or Duff Giffen at duffgiffen@maysvilleky.net

The Simon Kenton Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, September 18th from 9:30 to 6:00 and on Sunday, September 19th from 10:00 to 5:00. The location for the festival will be held on the main street in Old Washington.

We look forward to hearing from you.
