Many people would ask "What is the Contract Mail Drivers Association? Is it a union?" Well, we'd answer first that NO we're NOT a union -- we are a group dedicated to helping out our fellow drivers. Mail hauling can be (and is) a great job, yet while most contractors are honest and care for their drivers, some are, shall we say, less so. Our aim is to help new (and some older) Mail Drivers learn what their rights are, what their job really is and how they can do their job more professionally and better.
Keep an eye on this site as we will be adding things like pertinant Links, rights and duties of a Mail Driver -- stuff like that. As we grow, we will prosper! Grow with us and help -- we need your ideas, your thoughts, your beliefs.
A good first-step, is for a driver to join our e-mail list. This is easily done below. By the way, this is for drivers, not company people (i.e. managers, supervisors, secretaries, office weenies, etc.). This list will connect us in a way that goes beyond what we usually have (standing around BSing or talking on the CB). Last, we have it locked down so the archives are secure -- feel free to post here. If you need a separate e-mail account due to fear of your company, let us know and we'll help.
