Columbus, New Mexico 2007

OK, while not strictly WWI, it still fits as far as I'm concerned. Every year, a group of us travel to Columbus, New Mexico to commemorate the anniversary of Pancho Villla's raid on the US on March 9, 1916. We're looking to do it in 2008 so stay tuned for an announcement!

Here's a mix of pictures from 2007 and 2008:

Me and a borrowed horse named Pablo. Yes, the saddle and tack are prety farby, hopefully this won't happen next year!

Guarding the border with Geronimo the horse- Mexico is three miles behind me.

Me and my compadre Chris. It was pretty windy the day that this picture was taken and yes, thorse scarves and googles serve a functional purpose!

With a "captured" Villista... ;D

Our group.

And me, standing at Cootes Hill.
