Another "must read" Great War book!

And from the French side... this book, The Price of Glory is quite realistic and gives you a good feel for the Battle of Verdun. Of course, a lot of "know-nothings" will make fun of the French, but those people are just too stupid to have ever read this book. It really shows you what the Poilu suffered though.

My only criticism is that the author assumes the reader has had a "classical education" and can read French and knows Greek... (he inserts such quotes form time-to-time). So what, worth reading!! You probably won't because it doesn't have enough pictures.
